Alex Pasternak Goes to Egypt!!!

On Tuesday I went to some party called Yes Selector with Jim; a tall guy in my grad school who talks like he smoked too much pot in college. They played Psychedelic Furs which was neat. On the way home we stopped by Lit. It was some sort of BRMC afterparty so it was swamped. I met Hayley and Jessica from the same part of shitty-middle-of-nowhere connecticut that my parents used to make me spend weekends. They were talking to Nick Jago from the band until he paused, asked which direction the river was, and then took off. Presumably to jump in? We did took off to check out some Warlocks party in their hotel room. Then they remembered that the Warlocks kind of suck. I got a ride home in their fancy connecticut automobile.

Friday Night:

I met up with my boss and some visiting scientists down in the East Village. Borko, the cool haired euro-rocker rotating in my lab, came too. Here he demonstrates that europeans lite cigarettes with more style.

We hung out for about an hour. Science talk gets boring pretty fast and luckily someone took a knife to the stomach right outside the window of Nice Guy Eddies where we were sitting. The police closed off the area and wouldn't let us come and go to smoke. But they failed to notice the back door that we used instead.

After all that, we had to nerd-decompress and went to hang out with lesbians at the Hole.

Borko promptly met Amanda who rocks.

I walked around and instantly recognized Brian B. (aka Ikeepadiary.com). I don't know him but I said hi anyway.

Of course it's amazing that I remember him. I never read his shameless and off-color site because I'm just not interested in the annual near-orgy at Sarah Lawrence College, his mischievous adventures with Grant, the trips to Montreal (and LA, Vegas, NJ, Philly, Boston, NH), rooftops parties and certainly not the beautiful women he hangs out with.
