BUS SEATS

I've never quite understood why they decided to coat the new bus seats in speckled blue industrial fur instead of the polished plastic of the old days. They're more comfortable but not by much and I guess the matte textured surface prevents you from sliding into the next seat when the driver executes a -8G braking manuever at each and every stop. Today a little girl sat next to me wearing a purple mesh-jersey as a dress. Her mom helped her up and sat somewhere else. I wouldn't really have noticed except that this teeny girl kept poking me and bumping her cornrows into me. I looked down and she seemed to be looking for something under her seat. When she got up to go she paused and her mother yelled at her to come so I looked up and I saw her eyeing the seat next to me before she turned leave with a confused and frustrated look as if she had left something behind. That's when I noticed the big wet stain on her ass. She had, in fact, left something behind. I felt some sort of anthropomorphic happiness from the seat fur as if it had finally earned it's pay and done something that polished plastic could not.
