Your friend Ryan would be a lot prettier if she stopped smoking.

She doesn't smoke; she gets nervous having her picture taken. I usually get her a drink too and then I either ask her a bunch of questions to get her to giggle, relax and feel sexy or sometimes I just end up pissing her off (which happens pretty naturally--we've been friends for a long time but pretty much annoy the crap out of each other which I guess is ok because it's makes us totally uninterested in dating each other and kept us just friends. I think in many ways she thinks I'm a complete retard but likes me anyway). So no, Ryan doesn't smoke. She pretty much has her shit together and doesn't do stupid things. I've been lucky to know girls like Ryan. My ex-girlfriend Alex is like her too in the sense that when you meet them they seem very bright and fun and impressive enough but as you get to know them and watch them go through life, you find out that they have an enourmous emotional intelligence and intellect. And they're not so insecure that they feel the need to hit everyone over the head with what's inside theirs. Like an iceberg that seems sizeable enough on the surface until you realize it goes unbelievably deep. Way deeper than you do. They're very smart.
