Demetri Martin. Person.
Demetri has a special on comedy central tonight at 10pm. He's one of the people who convinced me to take more charge of my life and get the hell out of school. Similar to me he had a full scholarship to a top professional school that he might have turned down if they didn't offer to pay for everything (my problem too) and dumped it in his third year to become a struggling comedian. Funny that the third year is a rip-off that schools use to make money because we have a similar fourth year in medicine. I ran into him a few weeks ago and I like that he and I both carry a little black book around to write ideas in. It made me feel like I must be doing something right. Except that all my ideas are retarded. Anyway, he's one of the smartest people I've ever met and an inspiration to me, certainly, although I don't tell him that to his face because that would be creepy and gay.
